Prokupac day 2020.

This year, on October 14, the Prokupac Day was marked. According to the organizers: “We are celebrating the Prokupac! We are celebrating the wine history of Serbia! We toast to the wine future of Serbia!”

Prokupac Day 2020 was marked by a series of events in wine shops, wineries and restaurants around the wine world. This year’s Prokupac Show enabled wine lovers to find all Prokupac wines from Serbia in one place, to compare styles, climates, the philosophy of winemakers and choose their favorites. It was also an opportunity to learn more about the Prokupac and its path from the vineyard to the bottled wine in a conversation with the winemakers.

This year’s event was also marked by a caravan of Prokupac. On October 10, the caravan visited Kragujevac, and on the 11th, the host was Župa.

There, in the cradle of Prokupac, a rich program was organized: tastings in wineries, tours of vineyards, wine exhibition and lectures at the Museum of Winemaking and Viticulture.

Prokupac Day continues to present Serbia to the wine world through one of the most important autochthonous varieties.
